Proof of completion of a university degree or college diploma in a related field, or relevant work experience in emergency management, is required for applicants. Those without a degree or diploma may still be considered based on their emergency management work experience or post-secondary credits. The program is designed for senior-level executives and experienced leaders responsible for humanitarian action. Participants come from various organizations, both young and established, and from different sectors, regions, nationalities, and areas of expertise. Senior executives from various functional backgrounds are welcome, including research and development, operations, human resources, finance, and marketing. Their role is to ensure effective humanitarian action and understand the relationship between assistance and protection
